6th Annual Avalon Youth / Adult Fishing Tournament

We will be hosting our 6^th Annual Avalon Youth Fishing tournament on Saturday, May 26. This year’s tournament will be held at the docks to the side of the Clubhouse and will focus exclusively on elementary-aged children and their adult partners.

We will start the tournament at 9:00, and will conclude by 11:30. Participants can come and go as they would like.

Youth / Adult teams will be provided with a loaner fishing pole and bait, and will be able to enjoy fishing activities designed to be focused on the team having fun.

This tournament is only available to Avalon residents. Either the Youth or the Adult must be a resident in good standing in our community. The Adult team member must be 18 years old or older and must have some relationship with the youth such as: Parent, Legal Guardian, Sibling, Uncle, Aunt, Cousin, or other relationship as approved by the Tournament Director. The adult is expected to know how to fish and must attend to all of the youth’s fishing needs.

We will be focused on keeping this event as safe as possible. We stress that the adult team member is responsible for the safety of the youth. Additionally, we will have a few lifeguards on duty as well as have a station setup and staffed with a medical professional just in case someone needs attention.
